Rwandan Genocide Criminal, Callixte Kalimanzira sentenced to 30 years in prison by the International Criminal Court.

Rwanda, June 29, 2009 - /ABC Television-Africa (ABC)/ The International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda this morning sentenced Callixte Kalimanzira, a former official of the Rwandan Interior Ministry, to 30 years in prison. He was found guilty of genocide, direct and public incitement to commit genocide, and aiding and abetting genocide.

Among the 48 countries of sub-Saharan Africa, 10 were rated Free for their performance in calendar year 2008, while 23 were rated Partly Free and 15 were rated Not Free.
